Default Spyder finally arrived...

It arrived last week but I was out while it was delivered home and so I only got to drive it yesterday - about 40 miles.
It's a great little package. I love the bucket seats, PDK with sport chrono was absolutely the way to go for me, reminds me of my "old" Modena with F1 gearbox but MUCH better.
The weather was nice in Philly yesterday so I drove without the roof and really had fun. I am very impressed with the GoodYear tires. Much better than I expected. I've got all the track stuff ready to put on - harnesses, BK bar to put under the seats, spare set of wheels with sticky tires but I'm so darn busy that it will take months before I get to play with it all...
The only thing that is really missing is a decent exhaust. I'm debating the followings options: Remus; PSE and AWE. AWE are located very near Philly so it seems I need to pay them a visit no matter what.
I couldn't be happier with the car. When I got back in my DD (335ix BMW) it felt like a soft slouch... and yet we all know they are nice commuting cars...
Can't wait to drive it some more next week end!

Need pics. AWE is a good. Check with RS Barn 215-968-2599also, they have done custom exhaust for the race cars and remember there is Fab Speed in Ambler. See the 3M post for an excellent tech in the area if you are going to cover it before it gets all chiped.

You will have Glen drooling in villanova when he spots you on the road.

Here are the pics: I'll be putting her on my lift over the week-end and will take underside pictures.

Looks great... Definitely take your time picking an exhaust (there is a bunch of sound clips over on planet-9). I heard a spyder getting fired up at my dealer while I was in for an oil change. It had a fabspeed on it and sounded very aggressive (if that's what you're looking for).

Good advice, thanks. I really think that it will be Remus, PSE or AWE...

Nice Color, I choose the same ....My Spyder is being PDI'd right now, I should have it next weekend. One word of caution, make sure your dealer is mod friendly or you could find yourself in a situation where the dealer will void you warranty. And yes, that includes exhaust. That's the main reason I went with the PSE, no issues with denied warranty claims. Do a search for GT3 with bad rear main seals. Porsche stated any car that came in with that problem and had an aftermarket exhaust, Porsche would not cover, it was on the customer's dime and I'm sure that wasn't a cheap repair. The claim was that the AE with the back pressure blew the seal. Just a friendly FYI.

True, and supposedly cars with any history of exhaust mods can't be CPO'd, which would be an issue come trade-in time. That may all be just related to the GT3, however; it obviously has a very different powertrain.

Very sharp. The word on PDK is it's outstanding in it's performance and if your not a left foot braker you will be.

Looks awesome, i love it in white with the red belts. Those wheels look great also. Enjoy the car and give me a shout if your interested in doing any Exhaust or Intake upgrades on the car. I can hook you up with a nice member discount and were right next door to you.
Thanks,

Awesome! More pics please.

I want one really bad, Cream White with the Brown Interior and Black Wheels! I'm almost tempted to sell the 928 to get one.
