Radio delete
Last year, I decided to remove the radio from my Cayman S and replace it with the radio delete panel from the Cayman R/Spyder.
Unfortunately, that left "----" in my speedo where it used to display radio functions. I had been told that having the radio disabled with a PIWIS would solve that problem.
I had this done today at my Porsche dealer, but the display has NOT changed - please see the below pic.
For those of you that have radio delete from the factory - do you see something different?

Your dealer did it wrong. A durametric will do same. you have to delete the radio from the gateway and dash (IIRC) in the activations.

Haven't tried this specific change, but believe the gateway change requires coding which will require the Pro version of the Durametric fwiw.

Today, I discovered the second part of the equation.
As above, I'll assume the dealer deactivated the radio from the gateway.
This morning, at the same dealer, a more helpful person also turned off the Audio display by via the onboard computer.
Problem solved. I do not know if doing the latter alone would have removed the "----". I can confirm that it works when both steps are performed.
Thanks for everyone's help.

Yes that was my point. You have to change the coding in 2 places.
think of each computer as a module. The gateway is the central connection.
first you tell the gateway it’s gone. Then any associated components need to be removed too.
