Wanted: Spyder, maybe Cayman R
Prefer Socal/local cars... PM me what you have. I have this idea of a back to basics car for the summer... loved my 981 Spyder, sold it like an idiot.
Must haves:
Manual
AC (sorry purists lol I'm old)
Anything other than black, no black cars
Nice to have:
Buckets
Miles, even minor (if fully documented) paintwork I don't care too much about (no big hits tho)
If I like it I pay quick, cash/wire. NO drama.
Thx.

Three Wheelin'
tbo my only must have would be manual. buckets you can install oem/recaro as you like later on. Agree in soal ac is must have if it's not your quick morning drive only car.

@clib please send me / post some details. I care less about what came with car. I don't even know definition of stock. Maybe I consider a pdk...

2012 Porche Cayman R, Dark Blue Metallic with Beige interior, PDK, 62,000 miles. $50,000
Second owner – purchased CPO from Porsche in 12/14 with 48,000 miles. Original options: Leather, sport chrono, dynamic cornering xenon lights. Mostly fun drives in summer and 12 PCA HPDE events, generally 1 day each event. The car is in very good shape. All receipts since I purchased with regular service at either the dealer (including 60K mile service) or a local independent Porsche specialist and PCA sponsor.
Significant repairs performed while I have owned it:
-Windshield and radiator replaced (both stone chips)
-PDK unit replaced by Porsche Minneapolis (Summer 2021)
-Rebuilt/repainted rear calipers by PMB Performance due to fading
-New OEM rotors & pads/sensors
Modifications to improve driving or reliability which include:
-GT3 Master cylinder
-GT3 front lower control arms: allow more camber in alignment
-Tarret adjustable sway bar/drop links (front/rear)
-PDK transmission side cooler from LN Engineering (https://lnengineering.com/products/s...ide-mount.html): reduce transmission temps (paranoid)
-Front spoiler screens
Wear/tear notes:
Some stone chips typical for the mileage. I put abbreviate PPF on when I bought the car but was a daily driver from first owner. Some scuffs on the beige soft finish especially in rear storage compartment. PSE remains in open position. Left front wheel has some light marks.

I live on the coast in Socal, so it's never too hot, really, and I drive 2 old 911s with no ac. I just prefer it for when I go inland. most around town driving would be top down, but I also burn, easily, which frankly was part of the reason I sold my 981 spyder. so maybe I have a short memory :-) or maybe I'll wear a hat and use sunscreen more...
