Three parts missing from that car. Let’s see who looks closely to find them.

Reminds me of the Sunday funny papers to find all the monkeys in the drawing.

Two down, one to go.

edit: awww….dangit! I found a pic that shows the last one I thought was missing. Oh well. The wind deflector was the big one I thought everyone would miss. The third one was the PSE actuator but it’s actually there just way up in the bumper.

Please educate me on this one. I’m new to Spyder ownership and my car was factory optioned with Carrera Sport 19” wheels so I’m not able to make a solid comparison. What’s the telltale sign that these aren’t real Spyder lightweights?

original wheels look like this: https://www.suncoastparts.com/produc...SABEgJFH_D_BwE

They can be black, but consensus is factory black retains a silver lip.

Ok I understand all of that. But then they are still factory Spyder wheels which were simply refinished in black, no? The comment above by @John McM insinuated that they weren't true Spyder lightweights.

The black Spyder currently on BAT does not have factory Spyder wheels. The white one that recently sold appears to have factory wheels that were refinished/painted black/powder-coated.

Ah yes, my mistake. I missed that it was in reference to the black Spyder. All good now; carry on.

The Cayman R sold for $93k. Nice price for a PDK. Now my focus is on the current Spyder BaT.

The 13K mile black/red Spyder on BaT sold for $73,000. A bargain in today's market?

Perhaps we can keep this thread ongoing as the repository for links to Spyder and Cayman R auctions. The auctions are fun to watch, at least for the final five minutes.

A fair price for a non-LWB car.

@SCMike that Spyder that just sold on BAT was well bought and relatively speaking it was a bargain in the current environment ... when it was in NJ it was owned by a retired doctor and unfortunately because of health reasons had to sell the car ... I drove it and spoke with the owner at length ... the car was well taken care of under his ownership
