Default New to Me Spyder

Hi everyone! Super excited to be the owner of this new to me 2011 Boxster Spyder. Having owned several p-cars, I can’t believe what an amazing drivers car this is and I’ve only owned it for week. It has been a heck of a week for sure though. I took and leap of faith and I bought this without seeing it in person first from a dealer in Texas who had taken this in on trade and CPO’d it. There was some unanticipated drama when I picked it up, but we got through it and I drove this over a 48hr period through Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and then back home in California. The drive itself was mechanically uneventful. On the way back we did get to see some amazing roads, terrain, skies, and stumbled into a micro-brewery anniversary party with a ska band in Arizona.

The car has had a few other owners with it’s longest ownership being someone in the Newport Beach area, so I apparently brought it back to California. If anyone here owned the car or knows who might have, I’d love to know more of it’s story. It is an oddly/highly optioned car that had a pretty high MSRP when new so super curious about it.

I think it is GT Silver but it could be platinum grey. It does have a stereo too, part of the PCM 3.0 Navigation. Sounds pretty good too. I will probably try to get the CarPlay upgrade for the PCM.

Congrats - that has to be one of the highest spec'd Spyders I've seen.

Yeah, seems odd that was left off. Saving up for it as the likely next (if not only) update.

Congrats on the new Spyder! I assume this was the one at Porsche of Plano? I live very close by and snapped a shot of mine alongside it not long after it arrived. Enjoy!

it was that one. Wow, twins!

i am expecting my clear side markers this Friday from Suncoast so we’d have an even harder time telling them apart after that

Would love to see a pic of the OEM fire extinguisher. I am assuming it is the style used on the 997 models with the carbon buckets, no?

*** Edit: I see that you have the heated Sport seats. Even more intriguing to have the fire extinguisher option, in that case.
