BaT is crazy. Every once in a while stuff will sell at a reasonable price, and very rarely you might see a good buy. But by and large stuff sells STUPID high on BaT. Enough so that I've thought about putting my extremely clean NB2 Miata up there. In the end I drive it for a few minutes and can't let it go though.

yes, I am the seller and this is normal. Most serious buyers wait until last day, last hour, last minute. Let me know if you have any questions. Not sure where this will end up as most 987.2 Spyders sold on BAT with manual and Bucket seats sell for low $60's

We're pulling for you! Obviously a highly desirable spec being sold at the height of convertible season with a provenance that is known to those who frequent this forum. I keep thinking at some point 987 Spyder prices are going to wake up and break out from what I perceive to be bargain levels (i.e. $60's) and would love to see this car lead that upward charge.

Good luck and congrats in advance to the astute buyer who recognizes the crazy value these cars currently represent.

I spend WAY too much time at BAT... will watch this one too. Already have a notice for anytime a new longhood comes up- that seems to be my next project.

I just found (and bought!) a '12 987 manual/bucket Spyder about 45 days ago. Looked for about two months... found one, privately offered, in Washington.

Got lucky!

Agree completely. I put my '86 930 on BAT a couple months ago. It hovered at $45K for the full auction period until the last hour or so... sold for $73K (it had 145,000 miles on it).

Anyone driven both the 987 Spyder and 981 with X73 (sport suspension) that can comment on this 4yr old comparo and thread?

https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...r-article.html

jvmax, I saw the SY 6gt3 in the background on one of the BaT photos. I love SY and I call it the "free PTS" color. It seems the original buyer of your Spyder liked it enough to pay PTS $ for it, too. GLWS!

Man you have Sport Cup 2 tires on it! Nice!

When I bought mine three years ago it took about three months for me to find it.
