Default 987.2 Spyder A/C Delete

I bought my 2011 Boxster Spyder two years ago. It's a early model #146 and does not have A/C. The car also has the LWB seats, radio and PDK.

My reason for posting is to try and find out approximately how many of the 891 Generation 1 Spyder's are in the U.S.A. without A/C? I know it's not
common knowledge but I'm hoping for an estimate or a educated guess that might be out there.

I find the car is comfortable to drive without A/C here in Florida as it's my third car and I drive it for fun.

Another 987.2 AC delete guy here- granted I'm not in Florida, but have never once missed it. LWBS, MT, AC delete, PSE = true spyder experience!

Default A/C Delete

Thanks JPMD and Illini675 for posting your car information. I'm now

aware of (5) five A/C delete Spyder's. I imagine there may be a few

more out there so let us know about your car or someone you may

know with a A/C delete Spyder.

I know of a red one and I have seen a handful of others but it's not common.

I wasn't around here back in 2011-12 so I'm guessing there was not a North American 987 Spyder database created like there was for the 981 Spyder, otherwise there would be easily accessible stats for such things as the number of cars that came with A/C delete.

I also have a 987.2 2011 Spyder w/AC delete. PDK/sport chrono/sport exhaust/LW sport buckets/paddle shift steering wheel added after purchase. white/black interior/black painted wheels no other options.

Purchased new 8/2010 & still love it. No regrets on the AC delete.

2011/Guards red on black/6 speed/sport bucket/a/c delete here. I have never missed a/c but I also live in the PNW. Spyder's top is a unique design and I've driven it in 100 degree weather w/ top on and rear patch off and trust me its not at all bad. Not ideal but not bad at all. Its such a cool design and car.

Thanks for sharing. I too have driven in 95+ degree weather without A/C. The unique top without the rear widow allows
for exceptional air flow through the car.

Default 987.2 Spyder A/C Delete

Thanks to everyone who has added their A/C delete Spyder to the post.

I'm confident a few more cars exist. Please add your car or someone you know who isn't active on the forum.

Air conditioning was a cost option on the 987 Spyder.

However many there are, there should have been one more...I ordered mine without AC, however the car showed up with it. The dealer denied changing my order...said it must have been Porsche...but I doubt it.
