You are right, the shipping cost makes the experiment impractical. Until the motor is opened and the damaged accessed there is no telling what a rebuild will cost. Good luck with it. Sorry you got so little use out of the motor.

We've got a 2.5L with a dead cylinder, maybe with both of our "bum" motors combined we might have something!

What's a clean low Mile motor sell for

What do people do to refresh the motor prior to making it race ready
