Pick up the car next week. I'm not going to try to do a rapid build, should be PCA race ready for 2018 but likely run and tested many times prior.

Good luck with the build - let us know if you need anything....and we'll be over to Barber several times this spring if you need something delivered.

Will do. Let me know when you are coming over, I'm local and attend just about every Barber event.

Looks like March 4-5 for Global MX-5 test and then April 21-23 for the Global Mx-5 race (with Indycar)

Picked the car up on Tuesday, flushed brake system, added front rotors, changed the oil, tossed on my 981 track wheels and yes, it's already at the track to see if it runs. Good news is that everything works and the car runs great. Not bad for $2,999

This is the way I think it should be done!

That's a heckuva start for an SPB build! You could end up under $30k for a top car (assuming engine/trans are 100%) if you do a lot of work yourself!

I will be doing all the work myself, also have quite a bit of stuff that will transfer over from my 944LS that I parted (seat, steering wheels, accusump, etc). Traded 4 9x17 cupII's to a friend for 4 8.5x17 BBS wheels as well.

I will be heading to the dyno soon to get base data. Lot's or parts ordered and on their way.

Dropped 50 lbs of weight this weekend at the track when I pulled the subwoofers

Got a set of BBS wheels from a friend, traded some cup II's for them. I had some used Toyo RR's to mount on them already.

Found 4 twists on Ebay for an average of $100/each shipped

And my Bilsteins arrived yesterday. It's going to be a busy weekend.

I like the BBS the best (as you can see in my Av), but the Twists allow you to bleed your brakes without removing the wheels!

I like the look of the BBS as well, but will hate cleaning them.

Almost forgot, found a lightly used FVD

Worked on the seat mounting last night. Tried to mount to stock sliders, I got it to work but the seat was far to high, so I ended up with a solid mounting. The seat is starting to look a bit ratty, time to get a new cover from Racetech.
