All kidding aside I am getting 2 weekends before I feel like it's time for new tires. That's doubling my tire budget for the season which is a bit of a tick off.

Seems like my tire management skills result in one of four wearing worse than the others so at about 16 it's all over but the DE'ing. That's if they haven't developed a crack across the surface by then. Not dissing them, I think we are in a better spot now than ordering RA-1's that may or may not have been shaved to a true 4/32nd's.

I'm seeing about 4-6 hc's before they drop off so I need a new set each race weekend if I want to run up front. Tires are the biggest single cost in running a season now.

I my experience, the RA-1's did not drop off quite as fast but shaving half of the tread off of the RA-1 wasn't perfect either.
