Boxster S drive to track car (not a dd)

I switched to a spec Boxster spring setup and it's
way to harsh for my home track.

KWsports , m030 sways, tarrett monoballs, rear drop links, ~3 degrees camber front/back

Moved to 500/650 or there abouts

1/2 that might be a better setup

It was quick probably a few sec faster but brutal and borderline dangerous, bouncing around like crazy. Felt like a rolling pogo stick

specbox spring rate is IMHO pretty soft

what's the balance of your alignment? not enough rebound? are those shocks adjustable? aftermarket rear toe arms?

also, again IMHO, you have too much spring in the rear, these cars like a pretty square setup

Rereading my post:

For clarity -- I moved from a Stock S setup to a used spec box partial setup that

KWsports , m030 sways, tarrett monoballs, tarret rear drop links, ~3 degrees camber front/back
springs are 500/650 or there about. No control arm or any other changes.

The KW Sports have 2 settings -- not sure which I have it set to at the moment.
My ride height is setup 1/2" between tire and fender edge.

On the flats -- car was awesome -- rotated well, no push, very neutral.
Problem is my local track seems to resemble a cow pasture at the moment.

I was getting knocked all over the track and sometimes rear wheel hopping in straights.
I'm sure I was hitting the bump stops as well in the worst of it.

Front
-3.1/2.9 camber
8.1/8.2 caster
.05/.04 toe
Rear
-2.7/-2.6
.18/.17 toe

The max rules spec box setup is 450/500 lbs swift springs, at 2650 they are still really soft. Even at 500/650 I don't think your over sprung (but an odd f/r ratio) Particularly if you're heavy. I think you shocks may be set too hard.

This is my Sat/Sun morning drive to the track, get my fix, do 2 dozen laps or so and be home by noon.

With a teenage daughter in the house -- she doesn't even know I left :-)

The problem is my track (which I have a membership at) have a problem with the clay under the asphalt swelling and causing some serious issues.

I'm trying to figure out what spring rate I should go with without having to buy a half dozen sets of them and install them at the track,
run a few laps and switch again. I'm thinking of erring the other direction and playing it safe. I just don't know where the stock springs were.
They won't fit with the coil over system I have (wrong hats/etc).

I'm running full stock weight (I haven't bothered to lighten).
This is also to be a family track car (wife/kids/friends) -- so I can't have it on rails, or unsafe in the bumps for less experienced drivers.

thanks,

Mike

Update:

Reduced the spring rate from 550#/700# to
400#/450#.

Still stock weight.

Car was much happier at my local cow pasture track.
