Default Brake Pad Choice for SPB

I'm new to SPB, having done my first race in the car this past weekend. Between being used, extra practice day and race weekend, all four corners need new pads. The car had Pagid Yellow 29s. What have people liked on their SPBs? I run Ferodo 3.1's on my 981 Cayman S and they're great--anybody tried them on an SPB car? How about PFC? Thanks in advance for any input.

Great running with you this weekend!

I am running yellows currently and have also run blacks and hawks. I know some like PFC as well or putting a more aggressive pad on the rear to help with rotation.
So far I found the yellows last the longest and are easier to trail brake than the blacks or the hawks. They are probably harder on the rotors though.

Hint - street cars are typically too forward biased on brakes

Raybestos ST-43 from Porterfield. Front last at least a season and rears probably three. 20+ days a season

The most popular combination we sell for the SPB crowd is PAG2407 - RS29 (yellow) front, PAG2406- RS14 (black) rear. Some go with RST3 (red) rear.
But you really need to experiment with different pads based on your driving style. But Pagid seems to be the preferred choice of most PCA front runners.
We do give a rennlist discount if it helps. Renn10 at checkout. (I tried to make it easy on SPB and SPC drivers)

We stock both the fronts and rears in RSL1 if you're looking for more bite than the 29 and longer life than 14...but we have those too...lol

Not to steal the thunder of the OP, but with the pads recommended in this thread, any of which are recommended for HPDE with PCA at a high speed track like CTMP/Mosport on a 986 Boxster S? I'm running a completely stock pad and rotor setup. Thanks!

Currently on a set of Hankook Ventus RS4. First season on the factory staggered 17" wheels (225/40/17 and 255/45/17.)

I may run a second set of tires on the another set of staggered 17" wheels, maybe Continental, Michelin or Yokohama. Thanks!

Ok, with a 200TW tire you don't want to get too aggressive with bite/friction level. Pagid RSL29 would work great and have really good life as well. Pad Shapes are 2405 front and 2406 rear.

Thanks for that.

How do the Pagid's compare to a Hawk DTC-70?
