Glad you got the car out, Fabe. Looking forward to meeting you. Are you going to be at BRR this Saturday for the Tech Talk? You can learn a lot there.

I had a great time at the SCCA racing license school, getting to know the track, the car and learning about racing rules, race craft etc.
I didn't crash or banged the car, which is a plus as a lot of cars went off track, span, touched etc. I tried to build progressively my speed.
Reviewing the vids was very helpful. There is so much to improve (Third day driving the car).
I have posted a clip of a couple of clean laps. I need to figure out how to get the throttle and bake pressure connected to the Aim. Video is a bit dark (was 8am). I know the video quality of the Smarty Cam is not its forte. Feel free to comment. I have thick skin

Glad to hear you got out, Fabrice. Looking forward to seeing you at BW in a few weeks.
Getting sensor data into your AiM is pretty straightforward. For brake pressure, you need to tap into one of the lines coming out of the master cylinder and install an AiM 2000 psi brake pressure sensor https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/pr...asp?RecID=7070. It feeds into the AiM with a patch cable.
For throttle, just tap into the TPS signal out of the ECU and run that into the AiM.
btw - the AiM also has an easy gear calculator you can use to show gear.

Thank you both! I found TSmith’s old setup thread and looks like you just cut the head off a 719 patch cable, right?
To the OP, welcome and sorry to derail your thread!

Here’s my system schematic for an AiM MXL2 display/logger. Also shows the RCLAB145 cable to push data over to my Vbox HD2

So, I have registered to my first "real race" ..
From my previous post , got my SCCA Novice license.
Now it's time to go play.
I decided to spare my lovely SPB and rent a Spec Miata to run SM group 7 at THill with SCCA this weekend.
From racing school, I gathered racing SM with a SPB is not super fun.
I had a lot of good seat time in the SPB but the car was too fast for the SM competition. Somewhat in between the BMW E36/46 and the SM.
So, good for practice but that's it.
I will post my experience racing SM this weekend.
Ultimately, my goal is to advance with PCA SPB racing
