Stock 2.5 DIN weight
According to the specs a 2.5 Boxster DIN weight (90% fuel fill and 75kg driver) should be 1,325kg.
I weighed mine and it came in at 1,385kg. I’m getting it weighed again, but am wondering if anyone else has found their car is a lot heavier than expected? With the new spec in New Zealand being a minimum of 1,210kg with driver, I worried there isn’t enough removal to get to that weight if I start 60kg too heavy.

By "2.5 Boxster" you mean a 986 from 1997 to 1999? This is what we use in the US for Spec Boxster, minimum weight is 2650 lbs with driver at the end of a race (nearly empty fuel tank). That's 1205 kg. Most people don't have a problem getting to 2650, but you gotta remove everything you can.

I don’t have an answer but might add a bit of context for you to evaluate. In most countries the official / reported / claimed weights can exclude common options, so they are often simply the lightest spec available. A common example would be if AC and a radio were optional that year, the published weight might be for a car without them even though 90%+ of the cars would have them. Some Italian automakers even like to make the dry weight the official vehicle weight.
For Porsches, a big single-option source of weight is which of the factory seat options are in the car.

Another ‘99 Boxster owner and I had our cars weighed. With a full fuel tank, spare wheel, tool kit etc I weighed 1,300.5kg (no driver). The other car was 1,313.5kg i.e. 13kg heavier. Take off 5kg for 10% of fuel and mine is circa 45kg heavier than DIN. The other car has 18” wheels whereas mine has 17” but are otherwise identical.
