Thx! How would you compare the 997.2rs shifter to the Numeric one? Numeric sure looks the (all-metal) business on the pictures.

I have used it. Its OK. I think the Porsche one is better. Plus its cheaper. And it doesn't fail like the Numeric one does, which I have seen way to many times.

Any recommendations/suggestions for raising the (oem or RS) shifter higher, closer to the wheel to decrease hand travel back and forth? I see that the Numeric one comes raised but would probably go with the rs one.

Tarret also has a shifter riser. It’s a spacer kit and retails at $99.

Some risers raise the shifter by 2.5", some by 4", some by 7". What's the best/optimal raise for our cars that brings the shifter the closest to the steering wheel? 7" seems a bit excessive, perhaps even bringing the shift-**** ABOVE the wheel mid-section?

I use a 7 and love it. I have a 4 in my GT3 and it’s great also.

For the SPB I do prefer the 7.
