Default GT3 992.1 or 992.2

I recently decided to potentially chase down a GT3 allocation - being so close to the new .2, are there any reasons NOT to wait for MY25 allocations and take one now??

I also want to try and do a PTS color - is there more chance of actually getting that confirmed in a color I want for MY25 vs taking one of the last slots available this year?

Why not both?

Get the allocation for the 2.1 GT3, take delivery, drive.

When (if?) you get the 2.2. GT3 allocation, then decide if you want to trade up. Or just wait for the 994 GT3.

.2 is most likely 2026. Probably doesn’t change your thinking, but just FYI…

So you’ve decided to potentially snag a gt3 allocation just when it’s no longer on the configurator to build, doesn’t seem like you’re in any particular hurry and so you may as well just wait for the 2.2 gt3.

As for your second question, you’ll potentially want to speak to your Porsche SA about that.

Do you actually have an allocation? Is it a PTS allocation and are you paying some monster ADM?

Those details matter - hard to say what to do otherwise.

Quite a large ADM - doubtful on PTS but not locked.

I would likely be in an ADM situation next year, as well, as it’s been years since I had my last porsche and everyone at that dealer has moved on.

I would not pay a monster ADM on a 992, personally. Not now.

Here in the UK prices are teetering and quite a few for sale. Whether there’s a drop is anyone’s guess!

Amazing machine though😉

I would wait for the .2 I would NOT pay an ADM for a .1 at this point.

Porsche always improves the .2 GT3 enough to make a significant number of .1 GT3 owners upgrade (or at least consider/desire doing so).

I’m getting one assuming they don’t offend with the trade in value. More than happy keeping the 992.1 though it’s a wonderful machine.

The .2 wont be much different than the .1. They will put the current RS engine in it, marginal power increase. Nothing you will feel.
Digital tach. Meh.
Push Button Start. Meh

Styling will be largely the same. Possibly a suspension upgrade. They will be doing a Weissach Package on the GT3. Absolutely useless, unless you are tracking.

PTS will be another 6k increase.

Base MSRP price will increase every bit of 25k or MORE to start.

An every single option car like my 24 Touring (268k msrp ) will likely be $310 - 320k + ADM ( for most ).

I'd buy a Ferrari.

I think the 992.1 will be the sweet spot. Outgoing pricing was getting out of hand for this particular experience. 20% increase for the .2 will be too much and I would expect people to move to different brands.
