Collision avoidance brake automatically activating

Ok this is baffling to me and I can't figure out. There's a very specific portion of a very specific road where the car SOMETIMES (I still can't figure out the exact conditions, sun/clouds/etc.) jolts thinking there's a sudden obstacle that appeared, and basically slams the brakes for a millisecond, not enough to cause any slowdown of the vehicle but enough to induce a jolt. Does anyone know how I can reduce the sensitivity of collision avoidance? Can I completely turn it off?

There are sensitivity levels in the systems areas. You can do early, mid, late, and off.

My sister sued Audi recently on a brand new SQ5 where the Audi Pre-Sense system kept slamming on the brakes. I have not heard of this issue on a 911 until now.

My wife's 2012 XK had the tech package and on the same section of road almost every time it would disengage the adaptive cruise control.

Had a Cayenne rental do this. My truck would do it occasionally. The feature has almost caused more accidents then preventing so I always turn it off.

Is the road flat in that section or it there a hill? Is it a downhill section? It's "seeing" the road surface ahead because of the pitch is my guess.

It's practically flat. There's a bridge above the road, but it's about 10-12 meters high. Sometimes the sun goes through so maybe it throws the sensors off.

our 2022 GTI gave all sorts of dash warnings and sudden brake warnings, it was the steering wheel sensors, had to replace the whole steering wheel assembly, has not returned after that. would happen in certain situations, but not others.

Question???? On the 911's, once you turn it off is it always off, or does it reset itself on when you get back in the 911 and start it up?
I ask, because on my sisters 2024 SQ5 every time she got in, she had to go through a long list of setting to select turn it off, it kept resetting to the on position on every start-up. By the way....Audi ate her SQ5, they bought it back.

If it's like my 95B.2 Macan, I can turn Porsche Active "Safe" (sic) off and it will stay off, except when I'm using ACC. Then I will see phantom braking events roughly once every couple thousand miles, just as I did before turning PAS off.
This tech was not ready for prime time in 2020. I certainly hope it works better now.

We had a 2021 992 for about 5 weeks and 1500 miles. The car slammed the brakes on me in a slow, residential neighborhood when I was slowing to approach a stop sign (probably 20mph at the time). I was solo. Not another car was in sight. There was a pedestrian probably 10-12 car lengths away from me on the opposite side of the street. Not nearly close enough for the car to react to. Never figured out why. Then it did the braking again in traffic (twice).
Dealer didn’t know why it happened. Software was up to date. Dealer suggested reducing sensitivity but said you can’t fully turn it off. If I recall correctly - once sensitivity was set it stayed that way (as opposed to defaulting to “full on” when restarted) but you’d need to confirm in owner’s manual or with your service dept.
There were a couple other reasons why we didn’t keep the car, but the braking was a big factor. We parted ways.

I think the collision avoidance braking can be activated while going around a curve with incoming traffic since it can appear to the sensor that you and the oncoming vehicle are going to impact when in fact you aren't. That is where it would happen to me. I had read about it in the manual so I wasn't too surprised when it happened, and I just chalked it up as no big deal.
