In my case I was leaving one stop sign, heading into another stop sign. Road was straight.

Ok this is baffling to me and I can't figure out. There's a very specific portion of a very specific road where the car SOMETIMES (I still can't figure out the exact conditions, sun/clouds/etc.) jolts thinking there's a sudden obstacle that appeared, and basically slams the brakes for a millisecond, not enough to cause any slowdown of the vehicle but enough to induce a jolt. Does anyone know how I can reduce the sensitivity of collision avoidance? Can I completely turn it off?

There has to be a way to turn it off. What do you do when you’re on a track?

If it's like my 95B.2 Macan, I can turn Porsche Active "Safe" (sic) off and it will stay off, except when I'm using ACC. Then I will see phantom braking events roughly once every couple thousand miles, just as I did before turning PAS off.
This tech was not ready for prime time in 2020. I certainly hope it works better now.

Never happened to me in a 992. Not in mine, and not in any other that I have benn driving previously.

My 2019 Cayenne would do this also and sometimes very significantly like on an upward parking lot ramp. Very scary when it happened.
