Default 991.2 GT3 bumper conversion

I recently acquired a 991.2 GT3 front bumper for my T. I am going to do the entire conversion including the center radiator. I have the radiator stuff all figured out but I am stuck on two things.

1. I understand I need to change one or two of the A/C lines from Carrera to GT3. Does anyone have the GT3 part numbers? Figuring it out via the PET diagrams is tough

2. Does the metal upper or lower bumper support need to be changed? My concern is the original may interfere with the radiator ducting

I rather figure this out before the bumper comes off so its a 2-3 day install vs waiting for parts

Happy to report after two weeks all is still good, the foam wrapped parking sensors haven’t gone off, air conditioning recharged no problem, car runs nice and cool with center radiator, zero random errors, lights or warnings, front end feels stable (probably in my head) and it looks….

Congrats on the T!

I'm assuming the 911.2 T has a lot more going on behind the bumper than a 911.1 C2? On my .1 I didn't have to change any type of bumper supports or AC lines. The only thing that didn't line up for me was the radiator ducts.

PS. I didn't do the center radiator conversion so maybe that's why it was a bit more straight forward for me.

Yes it’s the center radiator, ducted out of the “smile” that is the tricky part, otherwise I’m told it’s an essentially bolt on affair.

Not necessary really, but I really would like to have it.

Took 14 hours of driving in one day to acquire it.

Bumper is at body shop for paint and PPF now

lol you beat me to it. Saw the ad and was way to late to respond.

I think it will come out great, think I m doing this as well so looking forward to your feedback.

Glad you got all of the parts together, that seems to be the hard and costly part.

I earned it yesterday, 6 hours up, 8 hours down, 3am to 6pm, solo, in a 130k mile Land Rover. I was questioning my sanity at points.

Yes I believe I have everything, aside from stuff for center radiator which I am working on ordering in. @4 Point 0 did a great job of documenting most of it, ill try to fill in the blanks for future endeavors.

That's a hell of a drive, so yes sir it is well earned and happy to see you were able to get it.

Do you know if he had any of the other parts left?

I THINK i figured out the A/C lines... but they aren't cheap (~$700) and I can't find them used. There is a hydraulic line shop local that does custom A/C lines... I may hold off on these until I see what I need... if its nothing huge I may just have them modify mine...

Anyone have a picture of a GT3 or GT4 with the bumper cover off?

I can't tell from the picture, but if the bumper did not come with the DRL's, you'll need them off a GT3 or 718. The 991.2 Carrera DRL's don't fit. Ask me how i know

Completed the job this morning, center radiator and all

To do the center radiator....
1. Yes you need the two A/C lines, and to drain and fill your system
2. You need the GT3 lower bumper beam
3. You need to relocate horns and extend horn wiring
4. Needed to find a way to 'mask' front bumper parking sensors and hide in bumper
5. Needed to code out the active radiator flaps from Carrera bumper

Overall it was a decent amount of work and effort, figuring out everything I needed, installing, but it sure does look nice. For a much cheaper and easier but less complete solution, skip the whole center radiator assembly.

I used stacked foam "furniture feet pads" around the parking sensors, then hid them in the bumper. So far so good with this.

Painted the beat up A/C condensors black

My "What the hell was I thinking?" moment
