Coding options and features for 718
Thought I'd drop some coding tips here that I have added so far using a LAUNCH X431.
1. Rear LED running lights:
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > Coding Value - Exterior Lighting - DDL with Position and Tail Light = YES
2. Instrument Cluster lights on always with Tach & Speedo, independent of Auto lights:
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER > Configuration - All Dials White = YES
3. One Touch Flasher Cycles:
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > Exterior Light Parameters - One Touch Flashing Cycles = x
(default is 3, but can make any value 1 to 10)
4. Teardrop wipe:
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > WWS-Coding-Teardrop function active
5. Seatbelt warnings:
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > Kodierwert-Coding byte 2-Driver seatbelt warning (dash red light)= Deactivated
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > Kodierwert-Coding byte 2-Passenger seatbelt warning (dash red light)= Deactivated
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > Kodierwert-Coding byte 2-USA seatbelt warning= Deactivated
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > Kodierwert-Coding byte 2-Acoustic seatbelt warning (sound/beep) = Deactivated
6. Comfort Entry seat adjustment:
DIVER SIDE SEAT MEMORY> Comfort Entry/Exit adjustment travel-E/A adjustment travel in seat fore/aft adjustment = 0 to 40, default =26
7. Remember Auto Stop/Start (***):
AIR CONDITIONING> Default Driving State Coding Value = Last Mode
AIR CONDITIONING> Default Driving State Coding Value Last Mode = Yes
8. Headlamp washer interval (stops headlamp washers from activating after 10 wiper washer cycles)
FRONT END ELECTRONICS > Wipe/Wash parameter - Wash process until first operation = 9999

One of the things I want to code is the "Remember Last State" of the console buttons, so that I don't have to punch the Auto-Start-Stop button every freaking time I get in the car. I'm hoping the Launch can do that one, as I'm planning to buy one in the next week or so.

I never drive in Normal mode so doesn't worry me, just flip to Sport or Individual and done

Can you code???
1.) European Fully-Adaptive LED Light Operation instead of the dumbed down LED lights setting for the U.S. market? Had that done on my F80 M3 and it was incredible! Fricken laser show!
2.) Is there a way to program the Boxster roof to open without the windows immediately raising once the top finishes the opening procedure. Had installed the Smart Top on my prior 991.2 Cab and it was SO much more convenient. Adds one-touch down and up functionality. Looked into the 718 Boxster version, but it requires you to use wiretaps which I’ve done before on an AMG CLK 63 Cab, but my preference is to avoid wiretaps if possible.

Is there also a setting to light the tach and speedo needles when the cluster lights are set to always ON? White dials must have black needles but black dials have orange needles that light up with headlights but aren't lighting up with the "all white dials" = YES coding.

No you can't code that. You need to add one of these modules for that.

From what I've read on this it doesn't remember ALL console button settings. For example, apparently the Sport and PSE button states are not recalled. But Auto-Start/Stop and PASM buttons do remember the last state.

Oh, but it can be coded, using Engineering mode in PIWIS. Not sure if X431 can do it, none of the several coding threads on multiple forums I'm tracking has tried it with X431 (yet). See here:
