Default 993 hotrod retirement project.

Been a member of Rennlist for quite a while now "2006" and I think it's time for me to share my long and painfull hot rod project in the making. It started out as a high mileage C4S that I picked up in Toronto 17 years ago when prices were very cheap for those cars. I upgraded the car over the years with small upgrades and I decided to go turbo with bells and whistle in my retirement years.

Basically the car was upgraded with 993RSR front endurance 380mm brakes, RS sways, GT2 uprights, centre locks, BBS E88 wheels, Rennline caster plates at both ends, K24 turbos, turbo S ECU "450hp", PSS10 with front lowering perch, CAE shifter and proper nosed 64/51 RWD tranny

Over this winter I should have the car sunroof delete with a complete paint job that way the car while look close enough to a GT2 RWD hot rod and an intercooler upgrade.

Will keep you guy's updated as I go along.

No, the engine is stock with a turbo S Motronic ECU, straight exhaust with Fabspeed tubes and an upgraded intercooler, nothing fancy and expensive.

The correct hood prop is a Hockey Stick. Please change this out at your earliest opportunity.
Best wishes

Maybe when I'm done with the car I'll replace the hood dampers, hockey sticks doesn't make HP and its convenient. Cheers.

Ah, so you swapped in a 993 TT engine.

Are you in Toronto? If so, it would be great to see this project in person.

Great project you have there! Looks like a raw machine 😎

Whats the diffrence with the new gearbox vs the original one except from rwd conversion?

And have you any plans for the interior?

keep up the good work.

The turbo tranny has a bigger ring & pinion, the gear shaft is central oiling. the tranny is beefier and longer by 30mm and can handle 600hp for a while versus the regular 993 G50/20/21 tranny can't.

Thanks for comments..

What a fantastic place to have a car like this. Last year I drove my 993 out to NB - to Grand Manan. The traffic out East is a dream! Enjoy.
