Default why does a 997 GT3 sound so much better?

Well,

in these troubled times many of us have questions
a) what is the meaning of life?
b) will Tony Stark come back from the dead?
c) why does a 997 GT3 sound so much better than a non-GT3 with the same displacement?

While I would love to receive answers to a) and b) I hope that the combined wisdom of this forum can help me with c)
Every time I'm on the track or on a spirited drive (like last Saturday with @Hella-Buggin' ) I can't stop being in awe of how much better a GT3 sounds.
After all both have flat-6 3.8L engines (I know that the GT3's is a Mezger). And I'm not talking about the wail at 7,800 RPM I'm talking about how good it sounds even at lower RPM.
I have a stock 997.2 exhaust with Gundo hack and it doesn't even come close.

If I was able to bolt a GT3 exhaust to my engine would it sound like a GT3 or is there more to the magic?

a) You give it meaning via purpose/passion or in wise words of Alan Watts : “The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.”
b) Yes, he is coming back as a clone!

And most important,
c)light weight component and it's ability to rev high, quickly due to low reciprocating mass / exhaust design with "correct" length of header pipes that resonate at right frequency

More reading, as there is a price for all of this

In order to get the same sound, you would need to reduce the mass, via flywheel, add the exhaust system and increase your revs only then it would sound somewhat similar.

I'm sorry I left you with such feelings of inadequacy yesterday :-)

It was not my intention. You're a hell of a driver though.

In all fairness, I do have the Sharkwerks center Bypass installed on the GT3.

My car has Fabspeed headers and a borla exhaust and it sounds just as good as my buddies 997.1 GT3 up to 7300 rpm- he has a fabspeed set up as well. I am sure it would sound just as good above 7300 but I am not sure how many times I would get to hear it.

If I understand your description of what you have now it's Gundo hack with the center muffler still in place. You'll get a lot closer to what you want by ditching that center muffler and mounting any of the x-pipe options available. My favorite is Sharkwerks which I have on my car: https://www.sharkwerks.com/c_exhaust-f_carrera_g_997-2 (no affiliation).

I think you'll be surprised at what a difference it makes. That center muffler just kills the exhaust sound no matter what you do and how much you spend on diddling around with the side mufflers alone. Gotta do both.

Keep in mind that I pretty much can;t run Laguna which is your favorite track.
in my stock C2s I can pull past the sound booth at WOT with no problem.
This car I'll have to plug the valves, get laguna pipes, short shift and still be carefull up the hill.

What is your car?
I have headers and am thinking of getting a Borla exhaust as well.

Everyone knows stickers add HP and decibels! On the glass they are good for 5hp/2dB. But put it on paint and it's more like 10hp/8dB!!
