NOBULL GT3 - Track Car
Finally decided to pull a trigger and get a 15 GT3 and turn it into a dedicated track car. After tracking BMW M2 last season i came to a conclusion that sooner or later i am going to crash that thing as we were pushing the limits. But is was super fun car!
This is my 3rd 991 GT3 and the previous 2 kinda gave me an idea what the car is but i never tracked either one to it's full potential. Now that everyone is raving about 991.2 4.0 and how fast it is, I felt like 991.1 is still a pretty fast car and can be a pretty competitive at the track.
After looking for a while for a perfect track car candidate I located one at the Ford dealership in GA. 5 days later the car showed up at my place and I was super excited to get to work!
I wanter to get a base line and see how heavy it is. My goal is to build a car that is light weight and remove all unnecessary stuff that i don't use at the track.
Car came with a full tank of gas from a dealer and it has extended range fuel tank which i think is 23 gallons ? After putting it on the scales is came out to be 3298lbs without driver.
I was a bit surprised how heavy it is without a driver weight. Ideally I would like to get it down to 3160 with a driver. But it seems like ways to go to get there.
For now, Frunk gets cleaned up and all the plastic must go!
Have to go work out, and i'll post more later on.

You can strip a bunch of weight out, but if you want a no-bull track car you'll need to add some back in with a real cage, fire suppression, emergency fuel cut-off, etc.

Stock brakes a good and work well I think but I decided to get a set of AP Racing J-Hook rotors and some racing pads.
The car overall is in pretty decent shape but hasn't been cleaned by previous owners and I hate dirty cars. I believe that clean cars turn faster last times While the wheels are off, i decided to get wheel-wells cleaned up as well.

Very nice. Please share weight saving progress after each stage.
We we need to keep more threads like this on top in this forum.
