Default SOLD - 997 Tractive Suspension

Category: Steering & Suspension
Price (no $ sign please): $6100
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 997
Location (Region): SouthEast
Item Condition: Used

I have sold my 997.1 GT3, and the new owner is returning it to a street setup. That means I have this amazing, low mileage, Tractive Suspension package for sale. Package includes all 4 corners, the DSC Control box, and the 3 axis accelerometer required for 997.1 cars. Swift spring rates are 7.0 kg/mm and 13.0 kg/mm (392 lb/in and 728 lb/in). Everything you need for a 997.1 GT3, for a 997.2 you won't need the accelerometer but will require a reprogram of the DSC box which the helpful folks at TPC tell me will cost $250. If your car is a non-GT3, there is some other front hardware required, TPC is the place for those details.

http://www.dscsport.com/

Price for the package, $6100 plus shipping. Parts are located in Rockville, MD.

If you are looking for a winter project that will shave significant time off of your lap times, this is it.

Awesome setup. How would you compare this Tractive package to the Ohlins R&T coilovers?

Also are you willing to sell the DSC box separately?

Thanks in advance! GLWS! JBO

Let's see how this plays out over the next few days, and I may consider selling the DSC stand alone. There may be interested parties that already have the DSC on their stock setup and are now ready to take the next step. That is how the addiction, er, decision went for me.

Would buy the shocks/springs but don’t think they’d suit a Turbo. GLWS

nzskater, actually with a little extra hardware they will work. Go check out my duplicate post on the 997 GT2/GT3 board. Tom at TPC Racing, the designers of the DSC System, posted an answer to someone with a 997.1 Turbo. It looks like about $1100 of additional mounting hardware up front does the job. Let me know. I may have to deliver them in person though, my wife and I love your country.

Saaboteur, I started with just the DSC and the stock PASM shocks and was impressed. That is what made me want to take the leap to the Tractives, and they did not disappoint.

That avatar shot is from Mid Ohio, heading down toward the entrance to Thunder Valley. I think it is one of the most photogenic locations on any track I have visited, and the pro photographers seem to think so too. PM me and I will gladly send the hi res version.

I'm interested in the DSC Box and accelerometer if you decide to sell them separately. I'd be putting it on a 997.1 C2S and from what I understand it'll be plug and play (no need to send it back for reprogramming). Anybody else able to confirm that?

That's correct. I have the same setup and once I installed everything it worked without requiring reprogramming.

IX Xi is correct, just make sure that the DSC box was initially programmed for a 997.1 with the DSC provided accelerometer, not a 997.2 with the factory accelerometer.

Unfortunately, the complete package was sold late last night. Thanks for the interest.
