Oh man, this is killing me. The perfect color and with Prets! I was looking for a Golf R for a while and got distracted and bought a 986 S to mess around with. This is a killer car and deal.

geez, I'm not even looking for a car and now find myself considering...

I am having a very, very hard time not thinking about this car and the phenomenal price. PLEASE someone buy it now so I can stop obsessing.
This is really twisted but I was hoping today that my daily would get wrecked so I could justify buying this car.
How many winter commutes does the car have on it, and do the wheels have any curb rash?

I'm surprised this hasn't sold, especially at this price. When I bought my '16, I searched high & low and only found one or two for sale anywhere near me in Idaho. I was after a manual, which narrowed the potential list only by a little. The ones I found were in the low to mid $30's... I ended up finding a trade-in at a Salt Lake dealer at $31k w/about 35K miles on it... and there were a few minor issues with it as well. I wish I would've waited 6 months to buy yours - it's a better deal than mine was by a ways... I know selling a car can be a total PITA. Have you listed in the other regular places? Curious if you've been getting action on it from elsewhere?

Dropped my R at the VW dealer for a 20,000 mile tune up and new windshield today. The cost for the 20k service? $113 (with an oil change). Nice to have one car that's cheap to maintain! (knock on wood).

When I was shopping in 2016 used R's were $34-36k at dealerships and buying a new one for $6k more was a no brainer, most dealers wanted an ADM for a new one but I paid sticker. I normally would never buy new as I tend to want something different every 2-3 years, and that 2-3 year depreciation is not something I wanted to deal with but here we are. I've got car listed in quite a few places, had a few inquiries only one that I would consider to be serious. I thought that KBB would offer a reasonable guide on resale values but that does not appear to be the case. I am not going to lose any sleep if car does not sell, I still do love to drive it and my wife can drive the Audi- first world problem.

I wonder if it's location related? Fairly small town in a state far from population centers. I think it'd sell in a day if you were in Salt Lake/Denver/Phoenix, etc.
For example, we were shopping for an SUV for my wife when we were in Bozeman last week. Your dealership has 3 Audi SQ5s. In Denver, there are 3 Audi dealers, and my dealer has 18 SQ5s in stock. Now.... if you were selling a Ford F350 Diesel......
For those that might be on the fence.... you can fly right into Bozeman, buy this car, and have a beautiful (and quick) drive home (through Yellowstone, if you so choose). Bring your fly rod and waders, and you can really enjoy some of the great rivers MT has to offer!
