I think two marketplaces - one for parts and one for cars is best. The car listings get pushed down because of the parts (or vice versa). Whatever the admins decide, we just need to make the switch and move on. The current split setup is annoying.

I wouldn't classify that as two marketplaces. That would be just be another subdirectory to parse out the listing types.. Overall it's still one Market Universe and redundancy is eliminated. Seems like a simple concept to me.

Those who like the new marketplace will regret saying that in the future as those classifieds will not be free in the future. You will have to pay to list your ads. In one way of another, you will pay.
Keep the old market place intact.

Raised this a few months ago, was ignored. Like many, decisions like this have pushed me to Facebook instead of Rennlist.

Agree, one marketplace area for non members and a separate for members. I like to post to members first and give them first chance at items.
So much cross post between "New", "Parts" and "Vehicle", just get rid of new marketplace.
I would be in favor of keeping parts and vehicles separate though.

We don't need two marketplaces, what we ACTUALLY need is a real iTrader system to help combat scamming and bots. Advising people to "never send payment as friends or family" on PayPal is sound advice as I just recently got scammed (once again) on a BMW forum, and thankfully was able to get reimbursed through PayPal (and I have been scammed three times on Rennlist in the past as well). But rather than promote a third-party reactive system that allows victims to happen then fight for a resolution, we should simply implement a system that aids in the prevention of fraud in the first place.
Honestly this whole double marketplace debate is a bit moot in the end, in my personal opinion. As a seller, just use the one that you prefer, and as buyers, people look at both anyways. I doubt it really impacts anyone significantly in the end.

I love rennlist and have sold more than a fair share on both marketplaces, but I'm pretty sure it'll be obsolete in the very near future. I frequent quite a few forums and many of them have completely dissipated or abandoned in favor of FB marketplace and groups. There is almost no movement in those forums and many vendors have pulled out their sponsorships as the forums die a slow death. Rennlist will be no different I fear, as people grow weary of paying a membership to sell goods. I really hope that rennlist will be able to survive but I would not be surprised if it suffers the same fate.
