For those of us that don't do Facebook, the Rennlist marketplace is great and the fee to be a paid member is pretty cheap and a great alternative to having to use eBay. A seller rating and feedback system would be great though. I've sold over $40,000 worth of Porsche parts in the marketplace (no vehicles).

Oh don't get me wrong, I have no problems paying the membership fee or using Rennlist instead of FB, but we are indeed a dying breed. A lot of posts and sales are done through FB or even Instagram. I'm on the 996 Turbo FB group and there is way more movement there than Rennlist. No one uses "websites" anymore, they use apps. This unfortunately is just reality and honestly there isn't much we can do about it.

This is confusing. I'm on the "GT" app posting this message and find scrolling the classifieds easy. I've bought and sold using this forum's app. Use FB? Not in this lifetime.

I guess I see things a bit differently. Instead of just one or two Marketplaces, I would like to see hundreds,....no make that thousands of different marketplaces....

i want to see every Rennlist member get their very own Marketplace!!!

it would be like....welcome to Joe's Marketplace! What can I do ya for today? check out these fancy new Gt2 carbon buckets I have for sale! half price !!! today only !!!!

RL moderators, in just one more example of their finite wisdom. As others have suggested, something as simple as a poll would solve the bewilderment. Give the people what they prefer.

Keep the old market place intact.
You already pay through your membership. Besides the members only forum it's the only benefit to a paid membership. If they went to a pay per post in the new marketplace it would kill subscriptions.

And +1 for only one marketplace. I would vote for the New Marketplace with better subscription and read/unread settings. It's more like the FB marketplace and m3post which are frankly better than the current 'old marketplace'. If there's one thing that would kill RL overnight it would be removing picture hosting, forcing members to host images externally and hyperlink to them.

It's not obvious how to search in the new marketplace. Can someone enlighten me?

Well, the *NEW* marketplace might be worthwhile if it were complete with all models that we talk of here. Strangely MIA are the transaxle models (except for the 928).

Using the search function requires you to first drill down into the respective section (Cars or Parts), then you'll find the search box that you can enter your search term.

It is a grand idea I suppose. Appears to be a WIP still...

I love the Marketplace... prefer old... but at this rate, lets find a solution to make only one, and improve it (the search functionality / results can act funky). It is very confusing to look on both and maintain who has what, what's sold, still for sale etc....
