Adult driven daily 50 highway miles during the week. I have had the privilege of driving this car for over 20k miles and I love it. Alas, I am wanting a Porsche of a different color...shopping for a cars I list below...
New Michelin PS2 tires all around at 99750 miles.
The IMS / RMS replaced at 77k miles.
All major / minor services to 120k miles have been performed.
No door dings on this car.
Fresh oil change every 3-5k, usually once a quarter.
Maintenance
New Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s all around (March, 2015) plus alignment to factory specs
Brakes all around, incl. rotors, pads, shims, and sensors; system bled and recharged.
Spark plugs changed
All fluids changed to include front/rear diff, trans fluid; brakes, coolant, oil, and power steering all bled and recharged using Porsche factory recommended fluids
Polyrib belt replaced
New Oxygen sensors
New battery
New windshield using factory glass
I would not hesitate to drive anywhere.
Options as decoded for you from the original factory sticker under the bonnet include supple black leather with memory and lumbar in drivers seat, Porsche crests in headrests, silver metallic pearl-effect original paint, litronic headlights with washers, sunroof, original 6 disc changer, all books, keys, tools included. Comes with two sets of mats (Lloyds and original Porsche carpet; also comes without original stereo head unit as it was replaced with bluetooth enabled unit).
Has FVD/Brombacher stage 2 kit (installed by RuF Porsche) with sport cats, exhaust, intake (stock oem air box with Schnell CAI and Helmholtz resonator plug, but will include the K&N CAI), and tune that is approx. 350hp.
This is my third 911 and I am meticulous with my Porsches. Trades considered (ONLY 60s 911s; 912s; 70-73 911s; 74 911S; perfect SCs; 87-88 911s (no Targas or Cabs); 911/930 Turbo/S from any year; 2009-2012 911 C4S or Targa 4S - these are the only cars I will consider for trades).
The C4S came factory fresh with the "big red" brakes, turbo suspension, turbo twist ultra lightweight wheels, turbo headlights and wide rear fenders, turbo fascia, fitments/interior, upgrades and options galore. All of the other Carreras of this vintage are holding tight to 20k+, including the base carrera at any mileage, the carrera S, C4, C2S, C2, and targa - all are a lower tier than this car. Turbos start at 35k-40k and are trending up. This car will not depreciate anymore (Excellence mag ...the Porsche specialty magazine's buying guide has these at 31500 for average/good grade and this car, in my opinion is an excellent, which would be at 33k, so I am discounted for the mileage...though the car has less than average mileage for vintage) and the market is now beginning to tick up. I have well over 38k in the car and am negotiable.... but...
There is no substitute.

Car still for sale informally. I just put another 6k in car and did the IMS, the clutch, the flywheel, flex disk, did oil, brakes, and small parts. 108k mile daily driven example still going strong. Price is now 27900.
Found out during the work that the previous owner LIED to me about having replaced the IMS. Was ORIGINAL IMS in car and NO SIGN of problems. BUT, to be safe and secure, we installed the latest and greatest. Clutch is adjusted perfectly, shifts so nice now!
I will keep this thread alive I suppose...and I plan on driving through the winter (we only get rain) and say around March, I will look to sell car. Or, I will just keep it as I know it so well now...
eventually the drive shaft (some wetness around seal) and brake rotors are going to need replacing. Rotors are 50-60% now...
best

Not drive shaft. I meant steering rack. Mechanics on PPI said they saw a slight sweating on it, which is typical. They run around 3-400 bucks from online vendors.

- you mentioned "exhaust" in your post - does your car have the factory sport exhaust?
- what are the current miles?

Groovy
Exhaust refers to the fvd stage 2 kit on car, the Brombacher/fvd exhaust. I think the best exhaust on market...tubi its competitor, but this one is Teutonic.

Miles
109k. I do 1k per month, 50 miles each weekday...25mi each way to work, on highway. Easy drivin. Very occasional use on weekends or to take a trip over the mountain to Medford. Otherwise, car sits in garage!

I think I remember seeing this car on Craigslist, I figured it had sold after the post disappeared. I'm not sure I have enough posts to send PMs, would you mind emailing me? vivg91 at gmail dot com.
