Be a stand up dealer and offer it at $101,300. The world already has enough Porsche dealers jacking the prices on their cars.

Cold feet, we were originally selling the vehicle at MSRP, and due to certain circumstances the customer had to withdraw from the purchase.

Well isn't that fortunate for them that the buyer had to "withdraw" from the purchase so now they can sell it for over MSRP.

This happened to my brother. The dealer said they could no longer get the allocation he had already made a deal on and had spec'd. He ended up getting a gt3 and went by the dealer and amazingly they had his gt4 out front with a huge markup! Imagine that.

It's up to the dealership's discretion on the selling price of the vehicle.

Things come up, life is unpredictable.

This customer genuinely had to withdraw guys, I'm fairly new to Rennlist and the last thing I want to do is lose everyone's respect in regards to this situation. I'm only going by the dealership's direction and I'm just the middle man. I'm paying to be a vendor and to post the classifieds guys, the dealership is not helping me out in any regards to paying for the services.

I do understand everyone's position on everything.

Maybe you can relay a message to Mike or John Daniels since you are the messenger.

Earn our business by being fair in pricing and it will pay dividends in the long run. Too many dealers in the NYNJ Metro area to chose from. Some are taking advantage of the demand and marking up the pricing big time.

Mike and John can do what they want but $20K over MSRP is simply wrong in my book and leaves a pretty sour taste in my mouth for Jack Daniels Porsche.

Does your dealership (Jack Daniels) pay you commission on the over MSRP mark up or just the front end profit?

I absolutely refuse to ever pay any dealer ADM (any brand) and any dealer that does is at the bottom of the list for any purchase.... service, parts, etc. recommendations too.

Unfortunately the messenger gets shot - I'm in sales and I take bullets every day for decisions above my pay grade. I wish Porsche would penalize dealers for doing this - that's the only way it will end. Not that it matters, but I would never do business with a dealer who decided on this as their business model.

Pretty much a bucket of BS here. Looks like JD Porsche just got added to my list of "never" dealers that only looks out for short-term gains and not long-term relationships....

JDPorsche sucks big time for marking a massive $20k over MSRP. I didn't like the guy in Houston markup $10k but this is outrages. Sadly the middle guy got show down and JDPorsche prolly losing a few hardcore enthusiasts or potential buyers. May be you should let your manager see these posts and tell him we want to greet him with some outrage comments. Sorry for being a messenger but this business model is bad business.
