To my eyes these mods make the already great looking 993 twice as attractive and aggressive. I also appreciate how they are so well matched to the car in form and period. They do not appear tacked on at a later date; instead they are cohesive and natural.
As for the relative rarity of the tip increasing value, I assert that rarity and value are only correlated when desirability is in play. For example Geo Metro Cabriolets are much more rare than the hatchback version, but you can be assured they are no more desireable. Not least because cowl shake was so bad that a makeshift x-brace of nylon rope would have resulted in a noticable increase in structural rigidity.
