Heat and A/C work. Tho the A/C has never worked that well in the dead of humid summer in DC, and that's what I understand about these model year cars. I was nervous about the 2.7L engine when I purchased it, and that's why I made sure to get one with a rebuilt engine. Honestly, I think the 2.7 engine worries is overblown, and with a rebuild, the engine is fine. I hope that helps!
