I have 2 degrees in engineering and this stuff is way too advanced for me. I maybe getting old, still can’t figure out what this ad is about. Car on order for a friend, getting here too soon, friend doesn’t want it, he’d rather wait longer? no idea what finders fees are, hate the dealer markup but happy to take a cut for a friend I’m helping who no longer wants the car that is arriving too early. Build was $170k and German cars going for $240k - is this a for sale ad or just an ad for legalized marijuana ?

Dealer might have something to say about all this business about selling an allocation. Unless the car is paid for or financially cleared porsche still owns the car and the dealer has the sole sales rights, no? Having an allocation simply means you have your name on s list and are able to order the car. Porsche actually forbids any and all attempts to manipulate allocation spots, especially by those who never intend to own and drive the car, but rather flip it to somebody else. Your friend outta pony up and buy the car he ordered, if he doesn’t have the scratch the dealer has the right to sell it to whoever he wishes.

Ok, I think I understand... give me +$35k for helping a friend.
If you give me your friends contact info, I would be willing to help him for only $25k.
Love this thread.

Wow guys, ok, here's the deal. If any of you are actually interested in purchasing this exact touring, you would be purchasing it directly from the dealer. I have had a few people message me saying they are wanting to buy the car. With limited allocation cars, there are usually two costs to the car. The MSRP and a premium the dealer is asking above the MSRP. In this case, the dealer is charging a $35,000 premium. That is not my fee. I am not charging a fee. I got an allocation for a touring and allowed a friend to take it who now cannot take it. I've spoken to the dealer and they are ok with me introducing someone else to them to purchase the car directly from them. Getting the allocation for the friend AND posting this ad can be summarized by the saying no good deed goes unpunished. There are two people who have messaged me saying they want to buy the car. I introduced the first person to the VIP client manager at the dealership who is working with that person. If for some reason that deal falls through I have another person who I will then introduce to the dealer. As we all know, talk is cheap. So if anyone else is interested in the car, all you have to do is let me know. Fellas, I'm on your side here. I'm a Porsche fan. Have been since I was a kid. I own several and hope to own many more.

No the build is set. The car is arriving to the dealer either this week or next. If it wasn't lava orange I'd probably buy it. I love the color actually but for a touring I would have chosen a few others.

A Lava Orange GT3 needs a wing, IMO.
But a $35k over sticker premium is abusive.
