Default GT3 Touring, manual

Year: 2018
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Cont. Porsche Models: GT3
Mileage (numbers only please): 0
Color: Lava Orange
Price (no $ sign please): $206000
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (Region): SoCAl
Body Style: Coupe
Transmission Type: Manual - 6 speed
2 or 4 Wheel Drive?: 2 Wheel Drive
Engine Type: Fuel Injection
Stereo System: AM-FM CD

I helped a friend get an allocation for a GT3 Touring which is arriving in the next few weeks. The car is arriving sooner than he expected so he is not going to buy the car which leaves me with it. I have not seen any Touring's for sale and do not know what the market is for them. The car has almost every option possible on it. It is Lava Orange with the axle lift, manual transmission. The build price was $174,000 and the dealer is charging a premium. Is anyone interested or does anyone know what the market is for them? Thanks in advance.

Here is the build. https://www.porsche.com/microsite/po...px?c=/PJUJ9E44

What premium is the dealer charging?

Market seems to be from zero premium to $25k-$30k or so.

Obviously open allocations that can be specced are worth more than built cars.

Lava should be interesting as it's one of the least-chosen colors.

OP you might want to make sure the dealer is okay with your buddy selling or passing along the allocation to someone else before you spend much time on this. They may not allow him to do it without first purchasing the car.

Just have your 'friend' pass on the car and the dealer will sell it to the next interested party.
With a dealer markup and sales tax, it would otherwise be a losing proposition.

If the build is $174k and the sales price is $230k how does that equal a $35k premium?

It doesn’t add up. I don’t know what is a fair price for the car. It might be msrp plus dealer premium. It might be more. Only one I can find for sale is in Germany and they are asking $244,000. No GT3’s for 2019 have made the allocations hard to get.

Please read the rules above:
Advertising by Members: Paying Members (as opposed to “Users”) may advertise or link to an ad to buy or sell personal property.
Note that posts by Members advertising items "for a friend" will be treated as posts by a User.

In other words, have your friend join & pay for a membership if he or she wants to sell something here. If they can afford to pay over sticker for a car, they can afford a Rennlist membership.

Good advice.

This posting is back up. I changed the description to better reflect the situation. I put in the car order on an allocation I got for a friend who built the car the way he wanted. He is not going to be able to buy the car so someone should be able to score an extremely rare car because of the situation.

How much are you making on the kickback or finder's fee as the middleman on this deal?
