Need some help need info. on how to check my 1989 S4 transmission oil level.
The louvers in front of the radiator are closing causing the engine temperature to go up.
should I take them out or screw the open (fix)

open the flaps by turning the **** on the flap motor its under the rubber motor cover,
then pull the fuse ,
leave the fat connector for the motor connected
then pull the fuse ,
leave the fat connector for the motor connected

If it's an automatic, there is a plastic reservoir on the passenger side of the transmission. It has a clear window on the front that has min, and max fluid level markings. Check it when it's warmed up and running, in park.
On the manual boxes, the oil should be at least up to the fill port but not running out, when you remove the plug. Same for the differential.
