Question Can be deleted. removed aftermarket alarm.

This thread can be deleted, the fault was because of PO wiring, and will do nothing good for other readers, it would only confuse. So please delete.

The two black wires are the same thing (ignition switched supply). The red wires are inputs to the ignition switch (Battery supply). Clean up those ignition wires (nothing exposed please!).

Though that sure is ugly - I think the issue is really elsewhere. Check the starter relay - terminal 85. Take out the relay probe the socket. Is it grounded when the transmission is in P. If not that is your starting problem - figure out what they up messed with those connections (it is probably the disable from the after-market alarm unit). Is the stock GTS alarm still there? (under passenger seat).

The turn signals have likely been intercepted - even though they didn't really need to be. Look for other CE loom splices with cut wires and show good pictures of them OR better still describe exactly what they have done (e.g. wire cut by color and CE socket position).

e.g. Letter of the plug and location of the terminal - for each lettered plug there are 2 sides left & right each with a column of terminals: left bottom is 11 through left top @ 15, right bottom is 21 through right top @ 25. So use terminology like F15 or B21 to describe the connections - only the stock wiring color matters - for the aftermarket alarm wires just note that it connects to the aftermarket alarm - we don't know what they do anyway.

State the wire colors e.g. Red or Black etc. If there is a thin tracer line of another color describe is as <Body Color>/<Stripe Color> e.g. Red/Black or Green/White etc.

Ok - so that means that the connections up at the ignition switch are probably ok (will of course solder and protect them once confirmed), since the black ones were the only ones cut there.

I kind of doubt that the problem is not because of what I did, since everything was ok before I started. But I will see if i can check the starter relay in some way. By the way this is a manual gearbox so no P.

What about the connector hanging down in the footwell? Anybody have any idea what that is?

Check that connection anyway - it was likely connected to the after-market alarm.

Where are you located? - Europe perhaps? ('92 GTSs are very rare here in the USA)

Thanks a lot for your efforts to help Alan. As I have edited in the first post, it was wiring from PO that confused me. I have fixed it and would like the tread to be deleted as it is no good for anyone else.
