Here is my experiment. I wanted to see what my intake inserts would look like black. I like the results. More aggressive and it is completely reversible.

Looks good, may copy that. That area also gets a ton of debris and paint chips, so not a bad idea to coat it in something removable every now and then.

Isn't stock black intakes? Painted is an option... a paid option, if I remember right.

My BS has black intakes, but I think I had the option to have them painted to match for something like $800 or so.

I did the same thing to my 987. Easy to do, and holds up pretty good.

Yes, this was a paid option. My rear diffuser is also painted GT silver but so far I like that.

I took it a step further on my 986. The place in the link (among other services) can make black chrome plastic, I had the 986 Venetian blinds in the intake done. They came out awesome. I'd love to change the spyder but I'm committed to keeping it stock. If you want custom plastic these guys are excellent.
