Just in case anyone cares, Napa has Mobil 1 Synthetic on their website for $5.79 / quart until the end of the month. I just ordered online and picked up in store 16 quarts of the 5w-50 today for just under $100.

Just thought I would share.

Its cheaper at Walmart near me every day. Normally $25 for 5 quart container.

That's probably 15w50. I've never once seen 5w50 in walmart, or even in gallon jugs for that matter.

Correct on the 'no cheap 5w50 at Walmart' whenever I've checked.... Other flavors of M1 are pretty easy to get a good deal on, 5W50 not so much. And I've never seen it in a five qt jug.

The Napa Mobil 1 sale has been on since the beginning of August. I picked up 18 qts. a few weeks ago.

I think the new (September) sale price is $5.99 instead of August's $5.79. Still a good deal!

Is 5w50 an approved viscosity?

Factory is 0w40. You can mis 0w40 and 15w50 to achieve 5w50 viscosity too right?
