^Tangerine, I believe you are right. Good pick up! (Eduardo commented on this car in post #51 of this thread. I had actually called it Fashion grey myself earlier, and he corrected my error.)
Strange, I have some Stone Grey shots of a 991.2 that I saved off before the dealer removed them, and I wanted to share them but when I click the image button it covers the screen with some kind of dark blocker and I can't do anything. Did that part of the site get broken in Chrome with the recent upgrade?
So it's not a GT car but it was all the stunning pics in this thread that inspired my choice of Crayon/Chalk for my 718 CS. The colour is close enough to fashion grey for me, PTS would've bumped the price up too high!
Funny I went today to finalize by builds and I was about to switch to chalk based on all the pics as of late. They had the sample panel and holding it in my hand it darker than you think, not close to white at all, but honestly all I could see was drywall..it's darker than that but there was an unfinished sense to it.
Oh well, I'm sure it's great but I didn't end up picking it. I did PTS GTS red.
Si-3PO, wow, wow, wow!!! That is spectacular--and I love the scenic backgrounds too. Congratulations and thanks for posting!!
Thanks mate! The pics were from an early morning trip in Warwickshire yesterday. So happy with the colour, it seems to be a real marmite colour with forum users but I've had nothing but positive comments from people that have seen the car in the flesh
I'd love to see that car in the flesh. I saw a Panamera in Chalk without black bits--just standard silver trim and headlights, silver wheels. Saw it outside in the sunlight.
Hated it, hated it. I really hope to see a blacked out GT3 in Chalk someday in the flesh.

Yeah I think the black bits make all the difference. The only exterior black(ish) option I left unticked were the smoked rear lights as I thought the standard ones looked better. It's a total bimbo car, all exterior options and sports options, left off a lot of the sensible interior options

Looks fantastic in those shots. I also like the body painted trim under the rear.

Under decent "showroom lighting," I saw a 911 in chalk and it looked surprisingly great (after seeing a disappointing Panny wearing chalk in the service dept.)
The upload seems to be working again, so here are some Stone Gray PTS shots I came across while the car was at the dealer. Wish I had higher res shots or different lighting conditions, but better than nothing I hope.
Personally I think this color would be amazing on a 991.2 GT3 Touring with all the black trim/wheels.
Thanks, Tangerine, Stone grey looks quite good in those photos. It's definitely more saturated than Fashion grey.
BTW I did see Chalk again recently on a couple of cars, and it's close enough that you can hardly tell without cars being side by side (it is indeed a little lighter than FG). Seems like it was designed purposely to be a sub for Fashion grey, minus the PTS rigamarole. Loess's data suggests it's the most popular colour on the .2 GT3 at the moment, so evidently there are quite a few people who found it very attractive.
