Default Looking at used cars and saw this.

At first it threw me for a loop. I thought it was a Ferrari badge. Then I remembered the horse in the Porsche crest.

I don't think I'm a fan of it. And I haven't seen it on any cars on this site, so I don't think you guys are fans either.

Thoughts?

I would think first that it was a Ferrari badge too.

Nope. Too much a Ferrari-wanna be (red paint, tan interior, yellow side badges with the prancing horse).

Plus, on the other side, the badge is on the gas cap cover.

That car has been for sale for a long time. Even tho I ended up buying a Canadian car, I was considering bring one up from the US as I was struggling to find the right one here... I've laughed every time I've come across this one and I'm laughing now, again

Yes, it does looks quite poseurish. But then again, didn't the horse emblem (or at least an extremely similar likeness) originally come from Stuttgart (not from Porsche but from a much earlier period German war emblem)?

Oh my, even though the Chinese emblem maker did get the Porsche version of the prancing stallion somewhat correct, this fitment screams bad taste. Thought I’d never seen anything quite so goofy, that is until I followed KWP1911's link and saw a picture of the owner!

"Stuttgart's roots were truly laid in the
10th century with its founding by Liudolf,
Duke of Swabia, as a stud farm for his
warhorses."

^ Some good history tidbits there. Is it me, or does the Ferrari horse look like it's falling off a cliff... or jumping back in fear of what's coming toward it? At least the P stud looks like it's revving up for battle.

The story I heard is that he saw the statue of the horse when driving through Stuttgart

....and 90k for a 2015 Base Carrera? Don't think so.
