Jeff Mohler - we need positive thoughts for Jeff please
#16
Update on facebook, from Ms. Speedtoys:
Jeff: Be strong, get well. Our thoughts are with you, Anissa and Katy.
Jeff update: Today was a good day overall. Small improvements again. No setbacks since Monday morning. As long as there are improvements instead of set backs, we are happy. While he is still in the ICU there seems to be a timeline to get him out of the ICU and to a regular floor of the hospital late tomorrow. They're changing his medication tonight and will monitor closely. I have to admit I'm a bit on pins and needles about any changes but they have to happen for him to get out of the ICU.
We are learning more about the best case stroke recovery process for Jeff's situation ... ICU. Then regular hospital for 2-4 days. Then discharge to (hopefully) acute rehab so Jeff can get the physical, speech and occupational therapy he needs in an inpatient setting. Its our understanding that that will give him the best possible outcome quickest.
Since things seem to have stabilized and will hopefully stay that way my next update will be when he's moved out of the ICU.

Yes, Jeff (aka Speedtoys) had a stroke on Saturday night. I spend the whole day with him, as we usually do. All day we worked on various projects, and then some dinner. It was a tiring day but at dinner all was fine.
Jeff has stroke on the way home- while driving his 928.
THANK-fully he made it home safely, and miraculously all the way up his apartment, where his wife was home and called 911. I think perhaps within the hour of the stoke, he was in the ER. Things could of gone way worse.
I saw him on Sunday at the hospital and again I was deeply thankful that he was not in worse shape. There are difficulties and of course symptoms of the episode and a long, new road ahead of him to come.
I hope to visit him again soon and will pass on all the comments and well wishes from all of you here on RL.

We'll miss your style and wit while you're getting well, and look forward to a speedy recovery. And Roger and Mark have done a great job of filling in some blanks for us - thanks guys!
