Thoughts are with you Jeff, I, like many others, I have enormous respect for you and your posts.

My dear old mum had her first stroke at 53 yrs young and her 13th (no typo) this year aged 82!!!, apart from a little slurred speech and partial sight in her left eye she is no different!!! Laughs and jokes just the same!! and still makes me do the dishes!!

Modern medicine/health professionals these days are simply magical...you will be in good hands.

NOW, I suggest the best on-going recovery plan is for you and your darling to stay at our place down here in NZ, then you can teach me all I need to know about my machine!!!! while basking in our impending summer glory!!!

That is actually a serious offer.

I visited Jeff today in the hospital and there is very noticeable improvement in his condition, compared to several days ago. This is very good news and was very good to see. Things have been stabilized enough that thus allowed for the transition out of the ICU. The good news of the move happened while I was there today. Jeff is in good spirits and we had a good chat and some laughs, in between all the doctor, RN, PT, and ST visits. I am very thankful for that. While he still has difficulties as a result of the stroke to overcome, things are looking up.

Great to hear that NIH score is low, 3-4. However, if those points are concentrated to speech, they can still be devastating. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! Go enjoy the newly painted S4!

i can speak fairly clear. i would placce speech walking and right arm/hand use all the same
