Spike and I spoke about that former Jerry car, I offered it to a client that didn't want it due to miles- "jerry has owned 500 cars so what" was his response (client has legit world class 964-993-997-991 collection)

Spike sold it for X and buyer paid just to flip.

The really good cars get really good prices.

That being said there is definitely a bigger delta on the 3.8RS to 3.8 GT3 due to gear ratios and HP bumps etc etc.

3.8RS is a must have.

For what it's worth, this "1 of 4" Black with black ghost graphics was a no sale at mecum in Monterey with a $230k high bid.

I believe another .1 RS had a 200k plus high bid at Bonhams but was also a no sale - White but not the Spike's car.

Market is hard to figure out but one thing that's true is flashy colors and wide hips make guys stupid .

Mecum car, high bid and no sale at $230k

Hard to know if anyone actually bid on it.

Also since I did not inspect that one cannot say if it was good or bad condition.

Might not have gotten it smogged in time for auction. I believe they put that notice on for any car that doesn't have an up to date/recent CA smog certificate at time of auction, including CA cars.
It's why it really helps to have a dealers license if you live in CA and want to collect cars.

True. 6k miles and change, looked to be stock from cursory glance.

Are you around up in Fresno on Monday? I know it's a busy holiday but I can probably make it up if you have time.

Not all 'Jerry' cars are the same as we know. Some are special some not so much. But as this is fact, your client's response is naive.
