Default Notification of Open Allocations

Got this email from my dealer (just bought a '18 Targa GTS and this would be way out of my budget). Thought it might be useful if anyone is looking, hopefully this is posted in the correct group.

If anyone is interested, give Junelee Sung a call, he was my rep and was great.

This was discussed in the 991 GT boards. Allocations are available at a significant mark up only. Thanks for the heads up though.

Significant is a understatement.

Buy the car now (ie. $330k w/WP spec'd), and when the car arrives you pay the "market adjusted price" whatever that is deemed at the time. The 911R pricing was the model being used when they first delivered, $3-400k over msrp.

there are NO allocation of GT2RS at the moment.
perhaps this is a 918VIP allocation?
there are demand orders but that is very very different than allocation.
and believe me, any msrp GT2RS needs no notification, they will sell

This is beyond ridiculous.

You want a fast turbocharged automatic car? Go buy a McLaren. Put any options you want on it. Paint it any color you want. And blow the doors off any modern Porsche. The whole allocations and mark up game Porsche and their dealers are playing is disgusting.

Older cars are more fun anyhow. Who needs the new boring 991 M/T, PDK, or otherwise?!

Agreed. Stuff like this is what pushes people into Lamborghini or McLaren showrooms.

Want a GT3? Good luck.

Want a Huracan? Take your pick.

Guess there will be no short of allocations in Singapore (prices excludes options and on road costs).

You can but the taxes work out to be close to what it will cost in Singapore. Also note that there will be no warranty coverage for an import used Vehicle as well.
