Was very pleased to see this 928 win the people's choice and front engined prizes beating the GT3 RSs at the Blair Castle concours yesterday.

Congratulations! Your GTS looks fantastic. You Euro guys have the best locations to hold these type of events. That castle is sweet!

Well it is Cobalt Blue!

Good to see it won even with a warped rear bumper line trim- now the real question is whether it would have won if it had the toilet bolt mod holding the trim in place [like on mine].

I see it also has rear parking sensors- did not know they were even an option on the GTS yet alone the earlier versions

Fred these are aftermarket and don't work I asked.

The markers were show and shine guys and not experts like on here.

It is a 93 GTS.

Is that worth more than your house now?

Well in that case my toilet bolt equipped rear reflector [last pic below to show what a straight reflector looks like] would probably have beaten that 93 GTS all things considered. We even have some castles here and fully restored would you believe.

It is a few years ago now but the pics below were when we had a Porsche club and my GTS won best of class, best of show and public favourite- happy days indeed - would need quite a bit of attention to achieve that at the moment though!

Default House

Fred the RS values have dropped back a bit from high in 2015. No where near the house value where I live.

The cobalt 928 had a new transmission cooler tank same as I have fitted to mine dated June 1995 and silver not black.

Have others had to replace the cooler in their 928?

Charles

Charles,

What exactly do you mean by transmission cooler tank? Do you mean the ATF cooler coil in the radiator end tank?

If so I dumped that feature years ago and run with the external air cooler unit only. I check my ATF regularly and change the ATF more frequent than the stock interval but I do not do much in the way of mileage these days.

I recently checked the condition of my ATF and there was no burnt smell and it was crystal clear after some 10k km since change a couple of years ago. I will change it after 20k km or 4 years of service exposure.

Not sure what the service interval is for the 928 box but I changed the ATF on my 4 speed MB auto which is similar to the 928 after 70k miles or 112k km. Was a bit discoloured but not too bad. Last time it was changed was 8 years ago. Drove a little snappier after the change.
