Congrats to the Jim and Droo! Well deserved for a couple of significant cars. Looks like it was a great weather day also. My sister sent me a video of a lot of the cars and even better getting to talk to a bunch of you. It was the next best thing to being there! Safe travels home.
Thanks to all that showed up; it was a record setting day for our Porsche group, and we had more 928s than ever before - 31 of them! Wow! Getting ready for day 2 now. It will be more laid back with fewer cars, but just as fun. The races are today.
And much thought about yesterday's event and selections of awesome 928's. I believe my favorite car was Rick's "black beauty". The car was outstanding inside and out.
Yes, there were several beauties...the list is long (every car there was a winner, no doubt). But, I believe just understanding the difficulties of black paint...and the brutality of getting a mirror finish like Rick's car has and the fact that it looks like it just pulled off the dealership floor...makes it my favorite.
Again, we had a great time at the PVPG event and it was nice to finally put some faces with names. Met some quality 928 folks this weekend and hope we are down here again next year.
Just a few words to say thanks to Ed, Ann, Rick and everybody involve into this organization.
You did an awesome job.
So glad that I came this year to the PVGP.
Very nice to meet new 928 friends also!
A big thanks again.
Broke the holey grail today, dailing past 100K, car ran flawlessly over the exceptionally scenic secondary roads of Pennsylvania. And no, old red isn't on the trailer cause she gave up the ghost, just locked and loaded for the journey home. I will say one thing, more, the old girl bought me several..."free-passes"...when big dumby was in the wrong lane and needed to get over on short notice.
