Ken - I have shipped a sleeved block with girdle, BS covers and B-shafts (along with some other stuff) in a crate to UK before via Fedex air economy, it just makes the cutoff.

That was quick...what happened? Are you talking about dry sleeves or Darton M.I.D. sleeves? I would avoid the 'wet' sleeves. While they can work, they can be problematic if not done perfectly. Easy to stuff these up. Dry sleeving can also have it's issues but not as temperamental.

I have good 951s crank and rods if you're interested, also 2.7 104mm pistons and some other random stuff you might need.

If nothing else pans out, I have a good 2.5 block, a 2.5 block with scored cylinders (can sleeve this one), 2.5 cranks, 3.0 crank, BS for 2.5, 2.7 and 3.0, and lots of other parts.

If you can't find what you're looking for maybe you can buy a block here from the US and have it sleeved while it's still over here?

Sorry your engine blew, that's a bummer. Good luck.

Why do you want to replace the block? You only show a rod bearing problem. I hope you can just clean up the rod journal and install a new bearing. But chances are you need the rod resized at least and damage to journal may not polish out. But no reason to change block from what I see.

Will it still pull 6800 rpm on the offset crank?

Don't see why it shouldn't.
You should be able to go even higher if you want because of lighter and stronger Rods and better rodbearings.
