Looking at your pics again where you actually do have some continuity from the front to the back of the car, and taking into considering mick's comments about TechArts on dark cars, what do you think about doing a black or carbon fiber vinyl wrap on the side skirts, and carrying it forward and backward along that same character line that's in both the front and rear bumpers - might look cool or might look cheesy, but was a thought I had on how to keep the TechArt skirts but tone them down a bit and make them look better. A painted GT2 skirt is the safer bet but thought I'd throw it out there.

I had bought mine with the side skirts and hated the look and was going to remove them.

My 1st mod was changing the rims to black and that made the skirts looks better. With the silver rims the car looked cartoonish.
