For those Porsche owners looking at wheel upgrades but who aren’t too keen on our usual 21” setup – how does a 20” setup with 13” rears sound? Better suited to our traction oriented clients, these HRE S204’s in 20”x9” // 20”x13” are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber in 255 and 335 for that little bit of extra sidewall, width, and stickiness.

We took the time to spec out this fitment to absolute perfection so our client’s not only never have to worry about getting the wrong offsets or tire sizing, but they also get exactly what they want!

Wheel Specs:
HRE S204
20”x9” // 20”x13”
Finish: Gloss Black Center & Outer Lip // Rosso Vik Inner Barrel
Tires: Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Front: 255/35/20
Rear: 335/30/20

TechArt Carbon Aero Kit

Now that the second generation of Porsche’s 991 GT3 has been unveiled many first gen owners have decided to bring their cars in for a little refresh, and what better way than a wheel change? When it comes to a new pair of shoes we can’t think of a more fitting street setup for this GT3 than these P200’s in Gloss Black. The twisted spoke / mesh style – especially in center lock configuration – looks absolutely stunning, and fits right at home on almost every P-Car!

Wheel Specs:
HRE P200
21”x9.5” // 21”x12.5”
Finish: Gloss Black
Tires: Pirelli P Zero
Size: 255/30/21 // 325/25/21

Here are my new HRE P101s, Brushed Clear finish: Fronts: 9x20 offset 45, 21 pounds. Rears: 11.5x20 offset 45, 24 pounds. The tires are new Michelin Pilot 4S, 245 and 305.

I decided to go for contrast instead of the darker tint/color trend since I didn't want a monochrome look against my agate paint. Fortunately I have low-dust ceramic pads so they should be a little easier to keep clean. I also used Simonize Glasscoat ceramic coating on the wheels before installation to help keep them cleaner.

The additional front width and offset provides a surprisingly high front offset of 12mm over stock, but looks just fine and doesn't poke out at all. I've done a few tests to see if there will be any fender scrub and there is none. Yeah! My front camber is -0.9 degrees which may help with that a little, but I was worried that with my SPASM suspension there might be a little problem. The rear offset is 13mm over stock (when considering the additional width and hub offset).

I ended up not using the lightly-used Tikore titanium bolts I had and used the black HRE bolts with a low head profile that tuck into the shallower lug bolt holes better. The titaniums look great on a stock wheel since the lug bolt holes are deeper, but poked out a bit on these. I'll be listed those on the classifieds soon if you are interested.

Special thanks to HRE for providing me with such a nicely made product. It may be hard to believe, but these wheels where originally a bright gold tint, but HRE refinished them perfectly just like I wanted them. They are just like new again!

Here are some shots my son and I took early this morning with the car at a variety of angles to show different aspects of the wheel detail, their stance, and how they work so well on the car. Some are there just for the artsy fun of it too. The black specks you see in some of the photos are the martins that live up under the edge of the bridge in case you wonder.

I think the brushed clear metal finish ends up playing well with the other silvery pieces on the car.

This one is just to show the fine details of the finish that tends to get lost in more distant shots due to the loss of resolution in those photographs. I love having fully finished barrels too.

Just for grins, I laid the old wheel and new wheel side by side. You can really see the difference in the wheel depth here. Also notice the difference in the width of the lip.

Actually, he's really likes them and is standing guard. You can see that in his aggressive pose. If anyone tries to take our HREs he'll rip them to shreds. Especially if the mailman comes for them.

For the lucky owners of Graphite Blue!! This is a great finish that Pops, but works with the color just right. A great balance.

HRE P101's in 21" flavor with a Brushed Dark Clear Finish!! Covered in Michelin 255/30/21 & 305/25/21 Tires. What a beautiful combo!

Thank you Jurrian, Satoru, Jon, and all of the folks involved in the hands-on refinishing work! I really appreciate you sending me samples of the finishes to help me decide. The customer service, advice, and workmanship was fantastic. Even the packaging and shipping was top-notch. I'm very pleased.
