As a 997.2 Targa 4 owner I am really interested in your mods.

Personally, the one thing I want to do is black out the silver targa trim piece on the sides. I am considering plastidip or vinyl wrap.

Regards,

CF

Love the color! I'm picking up a 2009 Carrera S in Nordic Gold tomorrow from a fellow Rennlister.

I did mine originally with Plastidip, which I had on for over a year. I did get some spots that wore over time. Eventually, I had it wrapped in Matt black, which I think will be more durable.

Other things I've done: black out Targa 4S, black out tailpipes (+ gundo hack).

I like many of the OP mods, may need to consider them on mine.

Looks nice. Is that Lamin-X film on the tail lights? If so, which tint did you choose?

Are you painting or wrapping for the roof and other body panels? Is the car PDK or stick? Nice pick-up!

OP,
Can you take a picture of your front LED DRLs on/off?
They look like the new 991 turbo light bar ones we had another thread on but I haven't actually seen what they look like on someones car from a good angle.

Tasteful. Personally I like the targa chrome as it defines the roofline.

I was considering paint it to black, but gave up once we find the silver trim costs $790 per piece...F

urther, the rubber seal under it is deteriorated seriously, if you try to remove the trim, you have to replace the rubber seal which costs $490 per piece. I applied black 3M wrap on it. It looks good enough for me.

Then I switch back to silver wrap, because I found the silver color add a sleek shape into the black roof, better than full black roof.

I painted the roof, then applied 3M clear wrap on it, also 3M clear wrap on all black plastic panels of roof, which make them look like brand new and in same texture.

I chose a 30% dark tinted film from 3M.
