Default Question re: Plasti Dip

Anyone tried it on interior finishes ? Specifically, I'm referring to the aluminum finish in the 997.1 PCM trim. I may paint it black, but wondering if plasti dip would work, preserving the option to return to alumalook stock finish later. Thx

I just plasidipped tonight. I would say if it is a wear and tear surface, it won't last. But that's the beauty of it....it won't last and you can return to stock anytime.

Put it on in 2 or 3 coats medium thick. That way it will peel off when you want. Removing a light coat is a PITA.

Plasti-dip doesn't hold up well on things that get touched or rubbed up against.

I Plasti-dipped my youngest son's electric jeep in camo colors. The dip has held up well on most of the jeep but the steering wheel, seat and door opening all started to look ragged very quickly.

Thanks for feedback. Theoretically the trim area on the PCM wouldn't be touched often (mostly touching the buttons). Paint is the way to go, just not sure the impact on resale if not the original stock color.

Just try the plastidip. I have it on my fan and temp switches (due to the dreaded peeling switches) and its held up fine for 2 years. Also did my winter rims last year and just took them off - no peeling which I think is pretty awesome given a Cdn winter...

An alternative which I prefer is Autodip.
